FirstKey Homes has become a place that our Team Members are exciting to go to each day and they are excited for the growth and opportunities at hand. Thankful they took over this house and helped me!
That is going to be difficult because everyone in offices is sleeping with each other. My review still stands!!! Same company but now with a different name. I am very sorry to read your review and how your experience was butI assure you, there is no nepotism nor favoritism.
You must be signed in to print. - NO ONE WILL EVER call you back and I hear they are TRAINED to take their phones on mute.
October 8, 2018 Hello! Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry that your time with us has not been favorable and I would love to know what we can do to get better. We are always looking to be the best place to work we can possibly be. If you have any feedback at all, please do not hesitate to email me at socialmedia firstkeyhomes. We try and continue to create a work environment that is open to all thoughts and opinions every day. We have put together a team of very knowledgeable and experienced single family home professionals over the course of the last year and a half and we feel we have what is an all-star team that is leading FirstKey Homes into the future as the leader in our industry. Thank you for all that you do here and I do hope you reach out. Thanks, Scott Used power and hand tools to complete repairs in a safe and accurate manner. Train junior maintenance professionals on correct repair procedures. Troubleshot and diagnosed promblems with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. Work with building managers to assess ongoing needs and plan preventative maintenance schedules. Managed available parts , tools and materials inventory to maintain ability to respond promptly to issues. November 2, 2018 Hello! Thank you for your review! I love every one of your suggestions and I would love to pass them along to the correct people for them to evaluate. If you would like, please email me your suggestions on how to make your position and others like it the best they can be so we can be the best we can be. My email is socialmedia firstkeyhomes. Thank you and thank you for everything you did here! You are not told the position is contract to hire until just before your job offer is sent and after your 2-3 interviews. The appearance of not being micro-managed seems like a plus until you realize that nothing is being managed, leadership is non-existent, and answers from higher-ups should not be trusted. I received a glowing review, asked my manager if my job was at risk and told no , but was then let go two days later. If you are looking for a company that is upfront, direct, and able to resolve issues as they arise, this is not the company for you. October 15, 2018 Hello! Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry to see that you did not have a favorable time while working at FirstKey Homes. I am not sure what happened in your situation but the practice of bait and switch is not something we do. We do offer many contract positions, both temporary and to-hire, and each time we have someone interview for these positions, it is always told that this is the case. We do not want to waste anyone's time, the potential Team Member nor ours, in vetting out a candidate only to lose them in the end because of the situation you are alleging. It just doesn't make sense and we are upfront on all of it. We strive to hire the best possible Team Members for all of our jobs and your hiring was no different. I am sorry to see that it didn't end well but I do wish you nothing but luck in your future. Thank you for all that you did here. Scott October 8, 2018 Hi! Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to see that you did not have a positive experience. I see that you worked out of the local Chicago office and I have been there and worked out of that office and not once did I see any yelling or cussing nor have I heard any such issues. I am sorry that you may have encountered this and I will reach out to them and see what may have happened but I assure you, this is not common practice at that or any of our other offices. Everyone works together with the same ultimate goal of making sure our houses are the best they can be and our tenants have the best experience possible. Thank you for all that you did here at FirstKey Homes and I wish you luck in your future. Scott October 8, 2018 Hello and thank you for your review! We are absolutely moving fast and we are moving in a great direction. We have our sights set on a piece of rental industry and our goal is to be the industry leader. I am very happy to hear that you have found the environment to be good and friendly and we hope to keep that true. Thank you for all that you do! Scott The company is growing and there is always potential for growth within the company if you are willing to work hard and put through the hours. The new management is not approachable and is unprofessional. HR is trying to contain everything by writing fake glassdoor reviews. October 8, 2018 Hi! We are growing and we absolutely do offer a great deal of growth potential as we move into the future. We will continue to grow offering more and more opportunities and if you are a hard worker looking to build something great, this is the place for you. We recognize that life can be hard and we try to work accordingly with the job at hand and the job at home. Balance is important to us and I regret to see that you did not feel that way. Lastly, every review on Glassdoor, just as with Indeed, is from actual employees and never written fake by anyone at FirstKey Homes, they are 100% true and we would never do anything to compromise the integrity of these sites. Thank you for all that you did with FirstKey Homes and I wish you well. Scott August 16, 2018 Hi! Thank you for your review. We have made a lot of changes over the last few months to make this a great place for everyone to work. We are a very fast growing company and have been for a year now. With great growth does come some turnover as not everyone is cut out for the fast-paced environment that comes with it. This can lead to stress but at the same time, also leads to success. I am sorry you are no longer with us but I do hope you luck wherever you are now. Thank you for all that you did with us. Scott October 8, 2018 Hi! Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read your thoughts on management but I assure you, we have been on the same path for over a year now since this current management team was put in place. Our goals and direction have not wavered as we work to become the industry leader in single family rental homes. Unfortunately, with a fast growing, and fast paced work environment, it is not conducive to success for everyone. We care about every single employee at the company and I am sad to see you feel otherwise, we would never want that to be true. I wish you luck where you are now and thank you for all that you did for FirstKey Homes. Thanks, Scott Highly disorganized, but that is to be expected with a fairly new company. HR department not up to speed. Hard to get ahold of company personnel. Support is limited which can be an issue with individuals who are not self-starters. Good side is they tend to give you a lot of freedom to make decisions. Compensation could be better. My opinion would be to look at other opportunities first then come back to see what Firstkey is offering. October 8, 2018 Hello and thank you for taking the time to write your review. I'm sorry to see you feel like the company is highly disorganized and that HR is not up to speed but I do assure you there is a clear vision and has been and HR is fully supporting the vision to make sure we get there with the best team members possible. I am sorry to hear that you have any issues getting a hold of company personnel and if you continue to have issues you can always email me at socialmedia firstkeyhomes. FirstKey Homes is a great place to work with a bright future and would highly suggest anyone interested in working with us to contact us and help make our goals come reality. Thank you for all that you do here. Scott The company is growing really quickly and they have a lot of great opportunities for people in the real estate industry. With this rapid growth also comes growing pains in terms of leadership, organizational structure, and frustration. I would recommend working here, but be aware there are growing pains. That is going to be difficult because everyone in offices is sleeping with each other. The level of inappropriate personal relationships is keeping key positions from making good decisions for the owners. But if you hang on long enough you'll be a manager. You act clinical long enough you'll keep your job. You hide work under your desk, you'll get an intercompany transfer. It's only a matter of time before the residents - not employees - figure out they need to pursue remedies. Once they get rid of the mean girls club in HR, Accounting hires people with industry experience, Property Management understands the business model and other C-Level positions do more than hook up, then maybe. Until then collect a check and don't expect any true diversity in management. But don't dare ask a question nor ask someone to actually do some work, you'll hear the infamous line from the apprentice - YOU'RE FIRED. Maybe the people in the offices need to be fired - all of them. The new leadership at FKH is very cut throat! They do not want to hear from their team. They only dictate what is to be done and you are not allowed to question them. The growth in the company is very chaotic and changes daily. The policies change without any direction being given. Sometime you don't even know about a change until after it happens and you try to do something only to learn they have taken that away from you and you are not allowed to do that task anymore. The leadership and HR are all new and have no idea what they are doing and how it affects the employees. And frankly they do not care how it affects you. JUST DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD is their mentality! February 15, 2018 Hi! Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We appreciate all reviews, both good and bad, as we strive to be the best that we can and we know we can always improve. You mention a few items in your review that I want to respond to, as there are some inaccuracies that need clearing up. I am sorry you felt this way in your time here at FirstKey Homes. I am not exactly sure when you worked with us as this is an anonymous review with no timeframe mentioned but the current management team is fully aligned with the entire company in wanting each and every Team Member to have a voice. FirstKey Homes aims to be a company each Team Member is excited to be a part of as we strive to become one of the most-admired companies in our industry. As we move towards our goal, we are growing at a very rapid rate an extremely exciting time! We are growing exponentially and we are helping team members learn multiple aspects of the business to help them grow professionally as well. I wish you luck wherever you have landed and I do want to thank you for your time with us and all the work you did on behalf of FirstKey Homes. Scott February 15, 2018 Hello! I am sorry to read your review and about any issues you may have had. I have a bit of confusion with your review though. Over the last 3 years, we have had extremely minimal turnover in the collections department and over the course of the last year alone, only 2 people have left. One recently called about a rehire and the other quit. If you worked with us over a year ago, then you worked with a completely different company than the one present today as we have had a lot of new management come in and new initiatives in place. My guess is the people you may be referring to are no longer at FirstKey Homes but if I am wrong, feel free to reach out to me at socialmedia firstkeyhomes. Thank you for your time with us and all that you did to help FirstKey Homes grow! Scott The company was growing at a rapid pace and experienced a high employee turnover due to lack of Organizational Management, An inexperienced Management Team and a highly under staffed accounting team. Firstkey Homes employed a lots of contract employees who had no real direction, training, or standard job description and no employee development. This company could be a great place to work in the future if the three key elements I mentioned below were put in place. February 15, 2018 Hi! Thank you for your review. As I mentioned before, we listen to both the good and the bad, so we appreciate you taking the time to write your review. You mention a high employee turnover and that is not the case. We have actually had a very low turnover rate over the last year and we are growing and adding new people daily. We have grown from 150 employees to over 400 in the last 6 months alone! It is a very exciting time to get on board with FirstKey Homes as we move into a very bright future. We can always be better and your feedback is heard. Thank you for your time with FirstKey Homes and for everything you did here! Scott FirstKey treats their employees terribly. If you have a family run far fast! The leadership is a joke, they have hours and hours of conferences everyday to come up with simple resolutions and are still incapable of making good decisions. First key has only been in property management for 2 years and they know nothing about the business at all. It will be extremely surprising if this company makes it another two years! There is no team atmosphere and all of the employees come to work miserable and unhappy every day.... February 15, 2018 Hi! Thank you for your review! I am very sorry to read about your experience but I do see that your review is from July of 2017. Things have changed a LOT since then and I hope what you felt was lacking then has changed. We have brought in a lot of new leaders and have put in place some amazing plans and direction that has allowed us to grow immensely. Again, since this review is from a while ago, we have seen the culture and atmosphere change as well in the last 8 months. FirstKey Homes has become a place that our Team Members are exciting to go to each day and they are excited for the growth and opportunities at hand. I do hope things have gotten better and if not, please reach out to me with feedback at socialmedia firstkeyhomes. Thank you for all that you do here!
We have no idea what he was trying to place in it, but we had already asked him to leave and he still came back into our garage. I see the emails of all of the incentives and contests to win firstkey homes corporate for the whole team except maintenance. Intermittently, our maintenance department attempted to temporarily complete the repair until the bid s were approved. We strive to hire the best possible Team Members for all of our jobs and your hiring was no different. I'm afraid that this issue is not going to get resolved leaving me in a situation where the landlord can do as they please knowing I have to pay rent. Headquartered in Marietta, Georgia with six regional offices in the Southwest and Midwest, FirstKey Homes employs approximately 650 professionals to manage homes across 26 U. I'm also seeking legal advice as to what renter's rights I have. The appearance of not being micro-managed seems like a plus until you realize that nothing is being managed, leadership is non-existent, and answers from higher-ups should not be trusted. Troubleshot and diagnosed promblems with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. Everything worked out though, the house was clean and firstkey homes corporate for us.
